Quick peek at new casino slot-themed social game
In the video below, I give you a quick peek at the new social game I’ve been working on for the last two weeks. Although it’s not the first brand-sponsored social game I’ve built, it’s the first with a lot of great reviews so I felt the need to share some thoughts on it.
After building a few of these games now, I’ve learned that the three most important things to consider (especially with brand sponsored social games) are:
1. Does it create a good enough experience that I naturally invite my friends to it?
2. Does the difficulty challenge & annoy me to play more or never come back to it?
3. Is the length of the experience balanced with the rewards given?
And I think the last turned out to be where I found room for improvement most. While we did create the right balance, the end result with a good game is always going to be “make the experience longer” (regardless of the rewards). It’s better to assume you have a good game on your hands than wait to find out and be met with hungry players who may not wait around for more content.
